Intro to write protection
The parameter setting #03210 sets write protection on the parameter #03202.
Bit 0 (NE8) blocks the programs in the range O8000-O8999 with “1”.
Bit 4 (NE9) blocks the programs in the range O9000-O9999 with “1”.
Bit 6 (PSR) sets read authorization with “1” to protect the program areas from being written.
In parameter #03210, a numerical write protection can be set to parameter #03202, which prevents the write protection setting from being changed.
If the content of parameter #03210 is “0”, no password is set.
To temporarily deactivate write protection, the password must be entered in #3211. The write protection in parameter #03202 is therefore temporarily deactivated.
If parameter #03210 is set to “0” after entering the password, the lock on parameter #03202 is lifted.
